The system for monitoring of energy consumption in public buildings “Energy Plan” was launched in the city in 2007, and in 2015 it was switched to online mode. The system allows to control and analyze efficiency of energy consumption by 217 buildings financed from the municipal budget.

Reduction of resources consumption in 2014

According to data presented in 2015 Annual Report by the City Mayor, UAH 12 million was saved due to active implementation of the energy saving measures in the public buildings of the city. 86 energy saving measures for the total amount of UAH 12 million were implemented in the public buildings sector, industry, housing and communal services sector, residential buildings sector and housing sector of the city (of which UAH 9.6 million was spent in the public institutions of the city). As a result of these measures, expenditure of the municipal budget for energy carriers in 2015 reduced by 12% (or UAH 5 million) compared to 2014.

The Project is training the specialists and provides methodological and advisory assistance to the city in the energy management system improvement and bringing it in compliance with ISO50001.
