The USAID Project provides assistance in creating a municipal energy management system that would cover all utility and public service companies of Kramatorsk city and comply with the requirements of ISO 50001 Energy Management System. The system should ensure rational use of energy resources, allow for measuring, monitoring, and assessing energy consumption and implementing energy-saving measures. The project cost of implementing energy management system is UAH 7.1 million.

Pursuant to SEAP, the implementation of a comprehensive energy management system in five companies (JSC “Kramatorskteploenergo”, “Kramatorsk Heating System” Municipal Company, “Kramatorskmizhrayteplomerezha” Heating Plant, “Kramatorsk Vodokanal” Water Supply Company and “Misksvitlo” Municipal Utility Company) will achieve cost savings in natural gas and electricity of at least 5%.

The energy management system is expected to reduce СО2 emissions by 1,700 t / year or 0.22% of the baseline. Projected reduction of energy consumption would be 7,700 thousand m3 of natural gas, 800 MWh of electricity and 3,900 t of coal per year.
