USAID Project Assistance in Energy Management System Improvement in Kyiv
The current energy management system in the city does not fully comply with the European standards and requirements. In particular, there is no automated system for metering and control of energy consumption, which leads to lack of the mechanism of proper prompt reaction when technical equipment breaks down. There is mechanism for repayment of funds, savings due to reduction of energy consumption on sites, which reduces motivation of the consumers.
The USAID Project provides comprehensive methodological and advisory assistance to Kyiv to make the energy management system complying with the requirements of standard ISO 50001. The USAID Project has developed the Concept of Project on Implementation of Energy Management in Kyiv Public Buildings, the document aimed at creation of the developed energy management system and continuous energy management cycle in public buildings of the city. All 1,565 public buildings of Kyiv should be covered by the project.
