USAID Project Assistance in Energy Management System Improvement in Kryvyi Rih
There is an energy management system operating in the city. For analysis and metering of the fuel and energy resources, a module for the prompt collection, systematization, processing and analysis of information on energy consumption in the communal utilities buildings was created on the web site of “Kryvorizkyi Resource Center”. It allows for the compilation of various operational reports on the consumption of energy and natural resources, taking into account the impact of climatic conditions and seasonal changes on energy consumption. One of the module features is incorporation of information on technical condition of the building and internal building networks. It enables the receipt of comparative characteristics for the efficiency of energy use in all buildings for the allocation of budget funds precisely to those buildings where energy is used extremely inefficiently. This ensures the most efficient administration of the available financial resources. Fully automated system operates in the form of a pilot project just in one building, but it is expected that it will be replicated in other buildings too.
The USAID Project provides comprehensive methodological and advisory assistance to Kryvyi Rih to make the energy management system compliant with the requirements of the ISO 50001 standard.
