Lutsk and Odessa. What these two cities may have in common? The answer is quite simple - these are our partner cities, where the USAID Project "Municipal Energy Reform in Ukraine" (USAID Project) held its "USAID Campus" information fair campaign during the City Day celebrations this year. Two days, dozens of hours dedicated to consultations and master classes, hundreds of visitors, thousands of distributed informational materials and millions of emotions.

First, on August 25, the residents and visitors of the city of Lutsk came together with their families to meet us at the USAID Project information kiosk. There is little wonder why we had such a good turnout.  It was the place where people could obtain professional advice and printed brochures and posters on energy saving strategies and learn how to apply energy efficient technologies, utilize alternative energy sources, and establish and manage condominiums. The volunteers and the project team staff engaged children in making paper propellers and also involved them in the research activities of the science lab.

On September 2, the USAID team visited a hospitable city of Odessa known as a pearl of the Black Sea coast. How to save energy in my apartment? What heat insulation materials to choose to better prepare the house for the upcoming heating season? Why do heat tariffs increase and what do the tariff charges include? How to sign up for the government program of "warm credits"? The leading experts of the project answered these and many other questions of the people of Odessa. The staff also gave special attention to the little visitors of the USAID Campus. The children spent time in our information kiosk not only assembling solar-powered cars and robots but also learning about the variety and significance of alternative energy sources.
