The deputies of the Rubizhne City Council (Luhansk oblast) approved on November 29 the Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan through 2030 (SECAP) developed with support of the USAID Municipal Energy Reform Project in Ukraine (USAID Project). It is expected that due to implementation of 72 initiatives planned in the SECAP the city will be able to reduce СО emission by 32.6% of the baseline level, reduce natural gas consumption by 94 th. m3 and save 85,970 MWh of electricity. The USAID Project experts also estimate total accumulated economic effect from implementation of the energy efficiency measures at UAH 2.6 billion.
