The USAID Municipal Energy Reform Project in Ukraine (USAID Project) took part in the meeting of the Task Force on implementing projects with investments from international financial institutions and other financing sources in Kremenchuk on April 26. The speakers delivered a presentation on the results of energy audits of 50 public buildings in the city and told about typical problems of the objects surveyed. In addition, they presented four alternative options for energy efficiency measures that would  reduce energy consumption of buildings up to 70% if implemented. These measures include the replacement of the old windows and entrance doors, the insulation of external walls, the installation of automated individual heat substations, comprehensive reconstruction of the building heating systems, etc. The results of energy audits may be used by the city management for arranging financing to implement the selected energy efficiency measures.
